How to Print and Cut to Card Template

 

Using Print and Cut in combination with card templates is a fantastic way to create something truly unique for any occasion. Whether you're designing invitations for a birthday party, thank you cards, or holiday greetings, this allows you to add a personal and creative touch to your projects. The ability to print text and images onto cardstock and then precisely cut them out, opens up to endless possibilities.

What you need

      Printable Cardstock

      Light Grip mat 12” x 12”

      Basic Blade

      Printer

Description automatically generatedIn Library you can find card templates. Select a project and open in Canvas.

Add your design. Insert images from Device, Vault or Library. Adjust the size to fit your card. You can change the colors as desired. If the image has more than one color, Ungroup then change the colors. Set the path type to Print.

Description automatically generated with medium confidenceAdd Lettering. In the Letter Tab you can type in your text, select a font and change the size to fit onto the card front. Set the Path Type to Print. You can change the color of your text if desired.

Description automatically generatedAttach print to card front. When you are pleased with the the layout, select the Print layer/layers and the card layer that will be printed. Click Attach.

Description automatically generatedGo to the output menu and send to Machine. Prepare your project, select Mat Size and Material. Make sure the Material Size is the same as the cardstock you are using for printing. Then click Print. Select your printer and make the inputs for paper size, color etc. Print.

Description automatically generatedPlace the printed cardstock on the mat, lining up the edges in the top left corner. Follow the steps to cut the card on your crafting cutting machine.

Assemble the card. Follow the steps in the card temple project instructions to assemble the card and envelope.
